Aftercare Ombre Powder Brows
Keep the area clean. We recommend to clean the area for the first 24hours using a clean, damp cotton round. Repeat this every hour until oozing has stopped.
Apply from day 3-7 ointment that is provided to you with a cotton swab twice a day. Morning and evening. Be sure not to over-apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing and only apply after the area has been cleaned.
Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for 2 weeks after the treatment. When outdoors after 2 weeks protect the area with SPF 50 or higher.
Avoid picking or scratching. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of color. Avoid certain activities:
Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week, and long, hot showers for the first 10 days. When taking a shower we recommend to keep it short so that you do not create too much steam.
Avoid your face and wash your hair at the end of the shower. Avoid facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
Avoid makeup on the treated area. Around the area is fine, such as foundation or a powder. When removing the makeup be sure to avoid the treated area and use a gentle cleaner.
Do not tint your eyebrows the first 2 weeks.
Avoid face-down swimming, lakes, saunas and hot tubs for the first 10 days.
Precare lip blush
Avoid consuming products high in caffeine (e.g., coffee, green tea, Red Bull), alcohol, or drugs 24 hours before your appointment.
Do not take blood-thinning medications such as ibuprofen or aspirin 24 hours prior to the treatment.
For optimal results I recommend to moisturize your lips daily with a nourishing cream, such as Aquaphor lip balm for one week before the treatment.
Exfoliate your lips 4 to 5 days before your appointment to prevent dry and flaky lips.
If you carry the herpes simplex virus (cold sores), I recommend contacting your doctor for a prescription of an oral antiviral medication (Aciclovir/Valaciclovir) to help prevent outbreaks. This treatment can be started one day before or on the day of your appointment. You can still have lip blushing done. We just want to ensure you get the best results possible.
Preventive care: Taking L-lysine supplements in advance is also recommended.
Aftercare lip blush
Immediately after the treatment you are instructed to keep the lips hydrated using the provided aftercare cream. Continue applying the healing balm 2-3 times a day for as long as you like. A thin layer is enough. Avoid over-applying as this can suffocate the skin.
Do not lick your lips excessively.
Avoid oily, spicy and heavily seasoned food and hot drinks. Using a straw when drinking is recommended.
No kissing, rubbing or friction on the treatment area.
No smoking during the healing process.
Avoid drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds and swelling.
Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for 2 weeks after the treatment.
